We had the very sad news of Mr Tuttiett's death at the beginning of September. It was decided to hold a special event in his memory. The whole school made kites which they then flew as part of a Service to remember Mr Tuttiett. It was a lovely event attended by many parents, ex-pupils, our current school community and members of Mr Tuttiett's family.
The children sang 'This Little Light of Mine' as this was one of Mr Tuttiett's favourites.
We also shared the following prayer:
We give you thanks for the life of Mr Tuttiett.
Like you, he was a teacher, and he gave of himself to the children and to our school.
Comfort his family and be very close to them in their sadness and loss. Bless the children whom he taught, and help them to have pride in all that they learned from him.
Help us to always care for each other in our school, and say thank you to You every day for all of the people who love us and help us.
The photographs below show the children making their kites and flying them on the school field. Also, Nick the kite man showing the children how to make their kites and demonstrating his own Angel kites which Tyler, Logan, Natalia and Lauren were lucky enough to fly.
